I bought this kit after searching through the many options sold by the same vendor. I was debating between multiple kits and trying to piece everything I wanted together by buying two kits plus switches when I came across this 10 light kit that came with the switches. PERFECT for my needs. The lights are acceptable, completely made of plastic so they do feel pretty cheap, but they work fine. I tested every light before I did anything with them to make sure every LED lit up, all the cables worked, and both dimmer switches functioned properly. I found no issues there. My one and only dislike with this kit is the plastic diffusers on the LED bars are kind of "corrugated" and so the light they cast has shadows in it instead of being a nice clean even spread of light. . I suspect they used the ribbed covers on purpose to prevent the individual LEDs from producing spotlight effects, but in turn the light pattern has stripes. I think once I have several of them mounted the overlapping patterns with make for a more even light distribution, but if you were to use only one light in any location, I think you will see some of the stripping. I would suggest the manufacturer use smooth plastic lenses instead of the ribbed ones on these lights.ALSO...one major factor for me buying this kit was that I needed a variety of cables to make the connections between my kitchen cabinets. I have four upper cabinets with glass doors, so one light bar went into each of those. I then used the remaining six bars as under cabinet lights with the same uppers. However, I had to span over a window and over a stovetop. Since I had the drywall down for my remodel, I ran the wires IN THE WALL through studs to make for a cleaner installation. Since I am doing all the kitchen wiring from scratch, I wired a hidden outlet behind a cabinet to power the two kits and put that outlet on a normal wall switch so it will seem like a more upscale lighting system. I am going to hide the dimmer switches below my first cabinet so that I can still control the light level but turn the lights ON/OFF from a real wall switch. I believe this vendor also sells a transformer which would allow you to go even more down the hardwired route. This kit included a few longer cables, but I cut several of the jumper wires apart and soldered in my own lengths of 18AWG speaker wire to extend the lengths. The wires are listed as 22AWG, but once I started the stripping it was apparent they were in fact more like 18AWG, which I was happy to see. As an alternative (and what the manufacturer would recommend, since I surely voided my warranty) you could BUY the longer connector cables for ~$5 each from this same seller. Personally, I think that is a waste of money, since speaker cable is dirty cheap and you could make all your own cables using a few of the 10x 3' jumper wires this kit already supplies. I doubt you will need TEN 3' connector wires...Everything considered, this kit gets the job done for anyone looking for a simple plug and play cabinet wiring kit. If you have a little more time, skill, and patience you can even wire this kit more like a "hardwired" kit like I did for a greater effect. Time will tell if the "cheap" feeling LED housings hold up. With time, I will be looking for the obvious signs of cheap manufacturing, yellowing plastic lenses and LEDs going out, but for now all is good.
